GENERAL DESCRIPTION | Responsibility includes the administration of software applications that are utilized by the Office of Graduate Academic Affairs to provide both technical and functional support. This position requires a high degree of expertise in the following software applications: student information system (Banner); degree auditing and certification (Degree Works); business intelligence and analytics software (Cognos BI); ticketing system (Footprints); project tracking software (Jira); documentation (Confluence) and version control (GIT).

COMMUNICATIONS | Extensive written, verbal and electronic communications with faculty and staff.
CUSTOMER SERVICE | A proactive self-starter and team collaborator, which Interacts with business partners, analysts, and project stakeholders. Requires functional-technical support skills and provides end-user training. Metrics to track efficiencies will be enabled and monitored where possible.

SUPERVISION & BUDGET AUTHORITY | May supervise 1-2 graduate assistants (up to 2,000 hours annually). No budget authority.
Physical Environment and Requirements | Standard office environment. No physical activities required.

Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibility | Analyze, plan, and implement modifications to existing software applications; evaluate technical solutions required to support functional changes required by increased demand for online/electronic access to software solutions; and enhance user-interface and points of integration. Develop and enhance predictive analytical tools used to evaluate academic program enrollment and graduate student academic performance. Administer various university-wide software applications. Examine and evaluate database layout, schema, relationship, table structure, and data requirements to develop or improve reports to assist with advising, enrollment management, and resource allocation. Consult with other teams, departments, and offices on proposals, project status, and technical issues related to system design, updates, and maintenance; troubleshoot and resolve issues. Create test plans and execute test cases after upgrades.
