Summary of Position
The Specialist I, Instructional Designer supports the design and development of engaging learning solutions across e-learning, documentation, and instructor-led training. This role supports the development of quality learner experiences by applying instructional design, adult learning, and visual design principles with guidance from team members and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include content development, technical communications, graphic design, training video creation, and LMS-related support activities as needed. The Specialist I, Instructional Designer works closely with cross-functional teams to support learning initiatives and contribute to a team-oriented learning environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with team members to design and deliver engaging, effective learning solutions that support learner success
  • Contributes to a collaborative team environment focused on high-quality learning experiences
  • Works with SMEs and internal partners to gather information and support training development
  • Supports the development of training solutions across instructor-led, virtual, self-paced e-learning, and blended learning formats
  • Develops interactive training content across a variety of formats
  • Applies instructional design principles to support content development, storyboarding, and curriculum updates
  • Develops learning content using various tools which may include Articulate 360, Adobe, Camtasia, Vyond or similar platforms
  • Create step-by-step tutorials and learner support with the end user in mind
  • Supports LMS-related activities such as course testing, uploads, learner support, and maintenance as needed.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality content
  • Facilitates training when needed and pilots new curriculum when applicable

Qualifications Expected for Position
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years of relevant instructional design, learning development, or related experience
  • Experience in developing e-learning content using various tools which may include Articulate 360, Adobe, Camtasia, Vyond or similar tools
  • Experience working within a Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Familiarity with instructional design and content development processes, including storyboarding, content development, delivery, and learner support
  • Working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with guidance as needed
  • Strong collaboration and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well within a team as well as independently
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Healthcare, or heavily regulated environment
The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2026. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.

We follow a Flexible Vacation Policy, intended for rest, relaxation, and personal time. All time off must be approved by your manager prior to use. You will also receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually.  This applies to full-time positions only.
