Job Summary:
The Specialist, Learning and Development (L&D) role designs and delivers impactful learning experiences that enable employees and leaders to thrive in a fastpaced, constantly evolving environment. This role leads initiatives across onboarding, technical enablement, professional development, and upskilling programs—ensuring learning directly drives business results and employee engagement. 

Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Design & Content Development:
  • Collaborate with SMEs and other stakeholders to understand learning objectives and performance needs.
  • Design, develop, and maintain instructional materials, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training (ILT) materials, job aids, assessments, and multimedia content.
  • Apply best practices in instructional design to create engaging and effective learning experiences that align with business goals.
  • Develop course content and training materials that cater to a variety of learning styles and organizational needs.
  • Create blended learning solutions that combine face-to-face training, eLearing, and virtual sessions.
  • Utilize learning management system (Workday LMS) and eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Create Cloud, text-to-speech tools, etc.) to create interactive and engaging online courses.
  • Design and build multimedia elements such as videos, infographics, quizzes, and simulations to enhance learner engagement.

Learning Needs Assessment & Program Evaluation:
  • Conduct needs assessments and analyze performance gaps to determine appropriate training interventions.
  • Work with leadership and SMEs to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvements.
  • Collect feedback from participants, conduct evaluations, and make adjustments to improve the learning experience and outcomes.

Learning Delivery & Implementation:
  • Facilitate learning experiences using a variety of methods, including workshops, webinars, simulations, and group discussions.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and interactive learning environment to encourage participation and knowledge retention.
  • Adapt facilitation style and materials to suit diverse audiences, learning styles, and business needs.

Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in instructional design, eLearning tools, and adult learning theory to enhance the learning experience.
  • Apply continuous improvement methodologies to assess training materials and make iterative improvements based on learner feedback and business needs.
  • Ensure all learning materials are designed with a focus on accessibility, diversity, and inclusion.

Project Management & Collaboration:
  • Manage multiple instructional development projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and stakeholders are updated regularly.
  • Work closely with L&D colleagues to support the smooth execution of training programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of training content with organizational goals and strategies.

Requirements:
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate training effectiveness and apply feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Creativity and a passion for innovative learning experiences.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and eLearning development tools (Articulate, Adobe).
  • Familiarity with Learning Experience Platforms (LXPs), AI technologies, and other modern learning techniques is a plus.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Agile).
  • Ability to design training programs that are learner-centered and outcomes focused. Ability to work independently, while also being able to contribute to a collaborative environment, manage time effectively and meet deadlines 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible and engaging content.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms and/or Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) highly desired.
  • Strong facilitation skills including adapting style to accommodate various audience sizes and levels.
  • Professional demeanor with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Operate with a sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high quality work

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Communications, or related field. Certifications (APTD, CPLP) a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional design and content development, within a corporate or organizational setting.
  • A minimum of 1 year in a retail insurance and/or financial services role is a plus but not required.
  • Experience facilitating learning solutions in virtual, in-person, hybrid and blended environments.
  • Experience developing eLearning and blended learning programs using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), including content upload, tracking, and reporting.

Pay Details:
The base compensation range for this position is $69,600 - $90,400. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
