Description
This position will require you to be in Cleveland, OH
We are in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH

The Sales Specialist's responsibilities include  supporting the sales process by qualifying and managing inbound leads, engaging with K-12 School prospects, selling new Sora Subscriptions and renewals, preparing quotes, processing contracts, and providing general account support.

Responsibilities:
  • Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of OverDrive products and services, and clearly articulate our capabilities and advantages to prospective partners.
  • Manage inbound leads by qualifying the lead, leveraging digital resources (e.g., website, tech news, industry sites, LinkedIn, etc.) to learn about the prospect or partner, update lead information in Salesforce, and follow-up or redirect as applicable.
  • Manage inbound and outbound sales to small accounts including Sora Subscriptions, shared collection membership, and new Sora platforms.
  • Host product demonstration calls with prospects.
  • Provide chat support in product demonstration calls to answer questions from prospects.
  • Process contracts, order forms, purchase orders, and quotes using internal processes and systems.
  • Facilitate the completion of the renewal process.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Team to answer partner questions and solve problems related to purchase orders, invoicing, and payment.
  • Complete purchasing tasks on behalf of partners as needed (Sora Subscriptions, Magazines, content returns, etc.).
  • Provide sales and product support to prospects and partners via the shared sales inbox, phone line, and voicemail.
  • Update contact information and perform data entry in Salesforce.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred. 
  • 1+ years’ related experience (inbound phone sales, sales, sales support, customer service, and inside sales). Experience working in the K-12 educational space is preferred.
  • Windows and Microsoft Office Suite proficiency. (Slack, Salesforce, or Confluence are a bonus).
  • Familiarity with CRM software and researching prospects.
  • Strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation).
  • Well-organized with a strong detail orientation.
  • Confident and energetic; professional and team-oriented sales approach.
  • Adaptable to new opportunities and processes.
