Sr Data Analyst
Pitt IT Analytics - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (26002334) We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our team and play a critical role in transforming complex data into actionable insights for our users. This position will leverage analytics tools and platforms to analyze large datasets, develop comprehensive reporting solutions, and drive data-informed decision-making across the organization.
Key responsibilities:
Serve as a bridge between business and technical teams by translating stakeholder analytical needs into actionable requirements and solutions. Skilled at distilling complexity for non-technical audiences and driving clarity around ambiguous or vague requirementAnalyze complex datasets using SQL, Tableau, Alteryx & Snowflake to extract meaningful insights & identify trendsDesign, develop & maintain interactive dashboards & reports in Tableau that enable stakeholders to monitor key performance indicators & make data-driven decisionsWrite efficient, optimized SQL queries to extract, transform & analyze data from multiple sourcesBuild automated data workflows using Alteryx to streamline reporting processes & improve data quality
Job Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience in data analysis or related roleExpert-level proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, subqueries, window functions & query optimizationStrong experience with Tableau (or similar) for dashboard & report development, including calculated fields, parameters & advanced visualizationsWorking knowledge of Python, R, or similar programming languages for data manipulation & analysisStrong knowledge of data manipulation, cleaning & wrangling techniques

Job Summary
Evaluates business requirements and performs advanced data integration and analysis. Develops advanced analytical and reporting tools utilizing multiple sources of integrated data. Provides technical support.
Essential Functions Must have the ability to work with PC equipment and related hardware/software and telephony video-conferencing systems. Must have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as, analytical, organizational, planning, and strong leadership skills. Must have a proficient knowledge of IT.
Physical Effort Generally sedentary desk work with computer-keyboardvideo phone other than traveling to other buildings on campus for meetings/events on occasion.
