Job Summary
The Collaboration Platform Team is responsible for managing and securing the organization's diverse collaboration ecosystem, which includes Microsoft 365 and other collaboration tools, ensuring compliance, governance, and efficiency in AI-driven data management. This team plays a critical role in monitoring and expanding Microsoft Purview, addressing AI data sprawl, optimizing permissions, and maintaining robust data protection.

Responsibilities

Microsoft Purview Monitoring & Expansion 
  • Implement governance controls to manage AI-assisted data sharing, ensuring that data surfaced in AI responses is accurate, relevant, and properly managed.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data usage within the ecosystem and refine data policies to enhance the user experience while maintaining compliance.
  • Monitor AI-generated data growth and assess risks related to uncontrolled content creation, including identifying outdated, irrelevant, or excessive data that may surface in AI responses or retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) processes.

 Data Cleanup, Labeling & Permissions Management 
  • Conduct ongoing audits to remove redundant or obsolete data, ensuring consistent labeling and information lifecycle management (ILM).
  • Enforce least-privilege access and automate permission reviews.
  • Improve access management using Microsoft 365 tools.

 Microsoft 365 Backup & Data Protection 
  • Oversee backup strategies and regularly test data recovery.
  • Enhance data protection through collaboration with vendors.

AI Data Sprawl Management 
  • Monitor AI-generated data growth and assess risks related to uncontrolled content creation.
  • Implement governance controls to manage AI-assisted data sharing.
  • Collaborate with security teams to refine data policies.
 
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement 
  • Provide direct support, analyze business processes, scope projects, and develop custom SharePoint solutions.
  • Partner with IT and business units to align collaboration tools with policies. Develop initiatives to improve adoption of governance practices

Minimum Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.

Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview, data classification, and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and AI-driven data management.
  • Experience with data protection solutions, backup strategies, and permissions management.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
