We are seeking a seasoned Senior Director of SEC Reporting to lead our external reporting function and ensure compliance with all SEC and public company reporting obligations.

The Senior Director of SEC Reporting will be responsible for leading the preparation and filing of all SEC reports, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, proxy statements, and earnings releases. This highly visible role will interface with senior leadership, external auditors, legal counsel, and investor relations to ensure timely, accurate, and SOX-compliant reporting.

What you will be doing:
  • Lead the preparation, review, and filing of SEC documents, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, S-8, proxy statements, and earnings releases in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and legal counsel for all SEC reporting matters.
  • Coordinate with Investor Relations, Legal, FP&A, and Treasury to ensure alignment of disclosures across public filings and investor communications.
  • Drive the implementation and ongoing management of XBRL tagging and financial reporting software (e.g., Workiva).
  • Monitor and analyze new and proposed SEC and FASB regulations; lead adoption of new accounting standards and related disclosures.
  • Develop and maintain public company readiness materials including disclosure checklists, filing calendars, and reporting templates.
  • Support the drafting of MD&A, earnings scripts, and related financial commentary.
  • Build and maintain robust SOX-compliant processes and controls over external reporting.
  • Mentor and lead a high-performing reporting team and partner with accounting, FP&A, and business unit teams across the organization.
 
 We’re looking for someone with: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 12+ years of progressive accounting and SEC reporting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and/or public company corporate experience.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance.
  • Proven experience managing the reporting process for a newly public or recently IPO’d company is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools such as Workiva, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar platforms.

The pay range for this position is between $190,000 - $210,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
