Description and Requirements
Position Summary
The Sr. Education Vertical Marketing Manager oversees all strategic marketing for the K-12 and higher education sectors.

The ideal candidate understands the education technology landscape, from classroom learning and educator productivity to campus IT modernization, cybersecurity, AI adoption, digital equity, and responsible innovation. This person will translate market needs into compelling positioning, campaigns, sales enablement, and thought leadership that help Lenovo drive growth across the education vertical.

*This job is remote with a preference in North Carolina

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead annual education marketing planning, including opportunity assessments and investment recommendations aligned to Lenovo’s growth objectives.
  • Develop and execute Lenovo’s education vertical marketing strategy across K-12 and higher education.
  • Monitor education market trends, buyer needs, competitive activity, funding dynamics, and emerging technology priorities.
  • Lead customer, partner, and market listening initiatives to identify emerging needs, validate positioning, and influence product, service, and marketing investment decisions.
  • Define clear messaging and positioning for Lenovo education solutions, including AI PCs, services, security, software, infrastructure, sustainability, and support offerings.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate Lenovo’s role in responsible AI adoption, secure digital learning, hybrid education, device lifecycle management, esports, and modern campus transformation.
  • Partner with product, sales, services, alliances, and regional marketing teams to build integrated go-to-market programs.
  • Collaborate with strategic alliance partners to develop joint education marketing initiatives and amplify Lenovo’s market presence.
  • Partner with regional marketing teams globally to adapt education strategies for local market conditions while maintaining a consistent worldwide narrative.
  • Create compelling content and campaigns that resonate with education decision-makers, including IT leaders, administrators, faculty, educators, and procurement stakeholders.
  • Support demand generation, portfolio storytelling, customer engagement, events, webinars, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Build sales enablement materials that help teams articulate Lenovo’s value in education with clarity and confidence.
  • Build Lenovo’s IDG leadership position within the education ecosystem through thought leadership, customer advocacy, analyst engagement, and participation in key education forums.
  • Ensure education messaging is consistent across web, campaign, event, partner, and sales channels.
  • Measure marketing performance and use insights to refine programs, messaging, and investment priorities.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, related field
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing, vertical marketing, product marketing, solutions marketing, or technology marketing.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in education technology, public sector, enterprise technology, or a related industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of K-12 and higher education technology priorities, including AI, cybersecurity, device management, digital learning, infrastructure, services, and sustainability.
  • Ability to translate complex technology solutions into clear, outcome-based messaging.
  • Proven experience developing go-to-market strategies, campaigns, content, and sales enablement.
  • Excellent writing, storytelling, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to connect market insights, performance data, and business goals.
  • Comfortable operating in a global, matrixed organization.
