We are seeking an experienced and versatile Senior Instructional Designer to lead and execute the learning and development strategy for our organization. This is a high-impact role responsible for designing, developing, and delivering innovative training programs that drive performance, improve customer experience, and ensure compliance in a complex, regulated environment.
As the learning expert in the organization, you will wear multiple hats—strategist, designer, facilitator, and evaluator—and work closely with a variety of teams to identify learning needs, craft scalable solutions, and measure learning effectiveness. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, independent setting and is passionate about transforming insights into impactful learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Learning & Development Planning
• Conduct learning needs analyses to identify skill gaps, performance challenges, and compliance requirements across the customer service team.
• Translate organizational and operational goals into a learning strategy with actionable training initiatives.
• Build and own a comprehensive learning roadmap, incorporating onboarding, upskilling, soft skills, technical systems training, and continuous education programs.
Instructional Design & Program Development
• Design and develop effective, engaging, learner-centered training content across modalities, including:
o Instructor-led training (ILT)
o Virtual instructor-led training (vILT)
o eLearning modules
o Job aids and toolkits
• Leverage adult learning theory, human-centered design, and the latest trends in digital learning to maximize engagement and retention.
• Utilize latest content creation platforms to author and manage content.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and operational leaders to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and clarity.
Facilitation & Training Delivery
• Deliver live, virtual, and hybrid training sessions with confidence, clarity, and professionalism.
• Lead onboarding programs, technical system training, and product/process updates.
• Adapt facilitation style based on learner needs, content complexity, and delivery format.
Measurement, Feedback & Continuous Improvement
• Establish strategy to evaluate training effectiveness (e.g., engagement, completion, knowledge retention, behavior change, performance impact).
• Use learner feedback, performance data, and business results to refine content and improve future interactions.
• Continuously explore and implement innovative tools, modalities, and methodologies to optimize learning impact.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6–8 years of experience in instructional design and training, with a strong background in strategy, content development, and facilitation.
• Proven ability to independently lead the end-to-end lifecycle of learning programs—from strategic planning to delivery and evaluation.
• Strong familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise), and digital content platforms.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and present confidently across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated success in customer service training, preferably within a healthcare or highly regulated environment.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
