POSITION SUMMARY:
The Global Accounts Payable Role is responsible for overseeing and managing large-scale accounts payable operations across multiple regions. This role involves leading a global team, analyzing financial data, working with multiple systems and technology, leveraging best practices to enhance operational efficiency, and collaborating with stakeholders within and outside of the organization. The role will involve leading the AP function through a systems and process transformation (implementation of a new ERP), while concurrently managing day to day in the legacy environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Management – lead, supervise and develop the global accounts payable team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and technology, to streamline accounts payable processes, identify and recommend enhancements to financial systems, and increase efficiency.
- Invoice Processing – oversee end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, validation, coding, approval, and payment.
- Financial Controls and Compliance – enforce accounts payable policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and controls.
- Technology Enablement - Oversee the optimization of current parallel NetSuite and PeopleSoft systems for accounts payable and supplier onboarding processes. Lead AP workstream as SME for the future state NetSuite implementation.
- Process Improvement - monitor and analyze accounts payable metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve accounts payable operations.
- Reporting and Reconciliation - prepare and present regular reports on accounts payable performance to senior management. Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts payable transactions and adherence to local financial, tax, and reporting regulations (including Forms 1099,1042 and FATCA).
- Audits - lead and support accounts payable audits and ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements. Provide financial information and supporting documentation as requested.

Experience and Skills
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Demonstrated proficiency in accounts payable and general accounting.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with NetSuite required. PeopleSoft experience highly desirable.
- Critical thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong proficiency in Excel required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - (technical knowledge, skills and abilities an employee needs to successfully perform the position level; please distinguish between “required” and “preferred”):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA a plus.
- Technology implementation experience highly desirable.
- 10 years or more of progressive experience in accounts payable, with at least 5 years in a leadership role with $500M+ of oversight responsibility in a global organization.
