Opportunity:
The Sr. Manager, Brand Marketing plays a critical role in shaping how DeVry shows up in the market. This role is responsible for translating strategic priorities into compelling brand expressions that resonate with prospective students, alumni, partners, and stakeholders. Reporting to the Director of Brand & Program Marketing, the Sr. Manager will lead the Marketing Specialist, Brand Marketing and collaborate cross-functionally to build brand recognition, consistency, and differentiation across all channels.
This leader is an experienced brand strategist who thrives on collaboration, creative storytelling, and campaign execution. With an eye toward market trends and student insights, they ensure that DeVry’s brand is clearly communicated and consistently applied across every touchpoint.
Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy & Messaging
• Lead the development and execution of brand strategies that align with institutional goals and marketing objectives.
• Serve as a brand steward, maintaining consistency in tone, messaging, and identity across all internal and external communications.
• Refine and articulate DeVry’s brand voice and proof points, ensuring they align with audience needs and market dynamics.
Creative Development & Campaign Leadership
• Oversee creation of brand campaigns, partnering with internal teams and agencies to deliver campaigns that elevate awareness and drive engagement.
• Translate strategic objectives into creative briefs and campaign plans that guide execution across channels.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and quality assurance for brand initiatives and creative projects.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment
• Collaborate with leaders across Marketing, Academics, Product, and Compliance to ensure messaging and visual identity are aligned and integrated.
• Participate in key planning discussions to ensure brand consistency in new programs, initiatives, and student communications.
• Partner with Consumer Insights to gather and apply feedback from key audience groups.
Performance Monitoring & Brand Health
• Define and monitor KPIs to evaluate the impact of brand marketing efforts.
• Leverage analytics, market research, and competitive intelligence to adjust brand strategy and creative direction.
• Deliver regular updates to leadership on brand campaign performance, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
Team Leadership & Agency Management
• Manage, coach, and develop the Specialist, Brand Marketing to grow capabilities and deliver high-quality work.
• Oversee agency relationships and creative partners to ensure on-time, on-brand deliverables that meet strategic needs.

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field; MBA or related Master’s degree, a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in brand marketing or integrated marketing roles, with demonstrated leadership and project ownership.
• Proven track record in building and executing brand campaigns with measurable results.
• Experience working with or managing external agencies and internal creative partners.
• Expertise in brand positioning, creative direction, and audience-driven messaging.
• Data-informed mindset with the ability to translate insights into strategy.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead through influence, manage cross-functional relationships, and operate with a servant leadership mindset.
