Job Description
Opportunity at a Glance
Adtalem Global Education seeks an experienced and results-driven leader to serve as the Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives & Community Development. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Impact, this leader will be responsible for leading the day-to-day execution and operational management of strategic impact initiatives and community development programs that advance Adtalem's mission of empowering students to achieve their goals, find success, and make inspiring contributions to our global community. This role requires an operational leader who can translate strategy into action, ensure program delivery excellence, manage cross-functional teams, work effectively with community partners and stakeholders, and support team development and coordination across multiple initiatives. 

 Responsibilities
  • Translate strategic vision into actionable plans and operational frameworks, serving as the bridge between high-level strategy and ground-level program execution. 
  • Lead day-to-day execution and operational management of impact initiatives and community development programs, while supporting in strategic planning 
  • Manage project implementation, coordinate cross-functional teams and oversee program delivery to ensure initiatives meet quality standards, timelines and budget requirements. 
  • Maintain direct relationships with community partners, NGOs and local stakeholders to support program operations, troubleshoot challenges and ensure effective collaboration. 
  • Provide leadership, guidance and development support to team members 
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, or equivalent experience 
  • 7+ years of experience in social impact & sustainability, community development, program management, with demonstrated success in operational leadership and program execution. 
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and delivering programs on time and within budget in complex organizational environments. 
  • Experience working with NGOs, community partners, and external stakeholders to implement collaborative initiatives and maintain effective partnerships. 
  • Experience supporting team development and providing guidance to junior staff members, with strong project management and coordination skills. 

Skills
  • Strong understanding of social impact frameworks and program management principles, with proven ability to implement and operationalize programs. 
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective partnerships with NGOs, community organizations, and cross-sector stakeholders, with strong relationship management and collaboration skills. 
  • Strong project management and organizational capabilities with experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, problem-solving skills, and ability to balance competing priorities while ensuring quality program delivery. 
  • Ability to translate program data and outcomes into clear communications for various audiences, with strong written and verbal communication skills. 

Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $80336.75 and $140851.54. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
