Sr. Manager, People Partner Full Description

The Senior Manager, People Partners, supports the business by aligning our people strategy with business outcomes. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, a successful Senior Manager, People Partners proactively works with leaders to understand business objectives and challenges, collaborating closely with other areas in the people team functions to deliver people-centered initiatives that positively impact the business and raises the bar on employee experience

What You'll Do: 
  • Leadership:
  •  Hire, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing People Experience Partner team that enables our evolving business strategy and growth goals
  •  Partner closely across the People team to design, deliver, analyze, and iterate on a bar-raising employee experience
  •  Champion a product mindset across People Experience (PX) initiatives, balancing agility, employee experience, and operational effectiveness
  •  Foster a culture of agility, collaboration, accountability on the People Experience team
  •  Establish and evolve team practices, rituals, and documentation (eg, PXP Handbook, Notion pages) that drive consistency, quality, and growth across the PX function
  •  Work collaboratively with People Team leadership to design, evolve, and execute scalable people-centric products, programs, and processes that meet business objectives.

  • Business Partnership: 
  •  Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders and employees alike while deeply understanding business context and people dynamics to shape talent strategies, coach through transitions, and lead change efforts with empathy, clarity, and in alignment with Articulate culture & values.
  •  Partner with leaders and teams to drive organizational change, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  •  Guide People Experience Partners (PXPs) to effectively support leaders at all levels, from coaching front-line managers to acting as strategic partners to senior leadership. 
  •  Provide day-to-day guidance to ensure PXPs align their work with both People and business strategies, including employee relations, performance management, leadership development, change enablement, and organizational design.
  •  Equip PXP team with the tools, frameworks, and development opportunities they need to scale their impact, standardizing and evolving practices for consistency and effectiveness.
  •  Coach PXPs to proactively identify emerging talent risks, navigate ambiguity, and intervene early to support team health and performance.
  •  Serve as an escalation point and directly manage complex or sensitive employee relations matters, ensuring fairness, consistency, and legal alignment.
  •  Monitor and report on PX team metrics (e.g., ER trends, engagement insights, program adoption) to identify opportunities and tell a compelling story of business impact

  • Program Execution & Enablement: 
  •  Help drive the execution of core people programs across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, Pulse surveys, performance management, annual reviews, and offboarding
  •  Partner with L&D and PXPs to support the development of people managers, ensuring they have the tools, feedback, and support needed to lead engaged, high-performing teams
  •  Partner with People Team leadership to ensure PX alignment across systems, tools, and communications
  •  Support the roll-out of company-wide initiatives with clarity, consistency, and a focus on adoption
  •  Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and lead efforts to simplify and streamline People processes

What You Should Have:
  • Experience leading People teams through change, remote experience a plus
  • Extensive people partner background with experience in talent and organizational development, employee relations, performance management, HR operations, compensation & benefits, and employment law
  • Highly skilled and experienced in leading client groups through change utilizing best practices in change management
  • Hands-on experience with internal investigations of employee claims and concerns ​
  • Ability to navigate cultural and business nuances/sensitivities to promote top performance and employee engagement and inclusion.
  • Excellent analytical skills; successfully uses data to extract insights and inform decision-making
  • Outstanding influencing, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong management skills and the ability to drive initiatives from inception to conception
  • Demonstrated experience in building effective relationships in a remote environment.
  • Distinctive problem-solving skills and adept in collaboration, business acumen and data analytics
  • Positive, empathetic, driven, collaborative, flexible, and confident

The pay range for this position is $133,700 to $200,500 for all US locations. Articulate takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
