Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.  | Academic advising experience in a college or university setting, including advising students on degree requirements, course planning, or academic policies. Experience recruiting prospective students. Experience working independently as a university representative. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. Experience using advising technology, student information systems, or other educational technologies such as reporting tools, EAB Navigate, Banner SIS, and/or Slate CRM. Experience interpreting and applying university academic policies. Experience supporting ongoing student success through advising, follow‑up, or case management. Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Microsoft Excel, Teams, and other Office applications. Experience coordinating and preparing advising services. Experience presenting information to individuals or groups, including orientations, workshops, trainings, or information sessions. Experience providing excellent customer service to students and/or parents.

Preferred Qualifications  | Master’s degree or hours toward Advance Degree Prior academic advising experience at Texas State University Experience serving as a liaison across multiple offices, evidenced by coordinating or communicating with offices across multiple campuses or locations.

Job Description  | This position works in collaboration with the Director of Regional & International Partnerships to manage TXST Local partnership operations, including recruiting prospective students, providing quality academic advising, and serving as the main point-of-contact.
Job Duties  | This position will work independently as a representative of TXST and will office regularly at Collin College Technical Campus and Dallas College Richland Campus in addition to conducting recruitment visits to high schools and other community college campuses.

This position will assist in the oversight of TXST local partnerships in the DFW Metroplex. This role will work closely with prospective and co-enrolled students located at the partnership site(s) in the DFW area.

This position will be involved in multiple facets including recruiting prospective students, providing
academic advising for selected programs, interpreting and following academic policies, assisting in managing data feeds and effectively answering questions relating from the student’s application process through paying their semester bill.

Provide quality academic advisement to majors and pre-majors, and coordinate special projects or programs for the partnership site. Recruiting for TXST programs at the regional location, traveling to Texas high schools and attending community college events to give presentations to students and parents about the instructional degree completion site option. Provide excellent student support Act as a liaison to other TXST offices, providing reports related to admission, advising, and events. Update student profiles with notes in EAB Navigate or other advising software to ensure academic advising centers have necessary student information. Collaborate with academic advising centers for relevant degree plans and with Global Admissions as needed.

This position may be required to occasionally work evenings and limited weekends to fulfill recruitment duties or timely academic advising needs.
