WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Senior Sales Commission Analyst is responsible for administering and analyzing complex sales compensation plans to ensure accurate commission calculations, timely payouts, and adherence to plan rules and governance standards. This role will also lead the annual territory planning process across our sale organization. Thie person will serve as a subject matter expert and trusted partner to Sales, Finance, and Commercial Operations, providing insight, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of commission processes.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK

This position will work a remote or hybrid schedule from our Leawood, KS or Burlington, MA office or will consider remote candidates within the United States.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME
 
  • Administer sales incentive compensation plans, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with plan documents and internal controls.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for commission plans, providing guidance to Sales, Finance, and management on plan interpretation, eligibility, and payout mechanics.
  • Analyze commission results, trends, and variances; prepare detailed reports and insights to support sales leadership, finance, and commercial operations decision‑making.
  • Investigate and resolve complex commission disputes and escalations, exercising independent judgment and recommending corrective actions or process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement of commission processes, documentation, controls, and reporting, including automation and standardization initiatives.
  • Lead annual territory planning process across Ascend Learnings sales organization
 
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
 
  • Advanced knowledge of sales compensation principles, incentive plan structures, and commission accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales compensation, commission analysis, finance, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience supporting multi‑component incentive compensation plans preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and reporting tools required.
