The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Sr Technical Instructional Designer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
  • Collaborating with training leadership and key stakeholders to design and develop employee & client technical training content, frameworks, and curricula that incorporate blended learning approaches, adult learning principles, skill assessment strategies, and facilitation-ready learning experiences.
  • Delivering and facilitating learning experiences on basic to advanced proprietary software and technical concepts for Solventum HIS software products using various methodologies, including asynchronous on-demand learning, live synchronous virtual sessions, and flipped classroom models.
  • Assessing employee skills using a variety of methods including knowledge-based exams, practical simulations, and observations.
  • Serving as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and contributor to internal Solventum HIS Client Care teams (e.g., Implementations, Support, Documentation, Instructional Design).
  • Actively participating in relevant corporate programs and initiatives; complying with professional, quality and security standards; and acting in a manner consistent with Solventum’s values and ethical standards.

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design or a related field (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university and three (3) years’ experience in Technical Instructional Design.
OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of Seven (7) years of experience in Technical Instructional Design or education in lieu of the master’s degree education requirement.
AND
  • Hands-on experience working with complex systems such as: Hospital IT systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech) OR IT systems administration / application support / implementation.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
  • Demonstrated ability to organize tasks, work independently in a multi-task environment, communicate in written and verbal formats, and collaborate within a team setting.
  • Experience with health documentation and coding, medical CDI, Healthcare IT exposure, or software security & networking.
  • Experience with Solventum HIS products.
  • Experience facilitating instructor-led training.
