Description

The Senior Training and Development Specialist designs, develops, implements, facilitates, and continuously improves training and development programs that build employee capability and support business needs across Baylor Genetics. This role partners cross-functionally to administer learning systems, deliver engaging training experiences, maintain learning records, and provide reliable learning data, dashboards, reports, and metrics to support compliance, adoption, and development outcomes. This role may evolve as organizational needs change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Design, develop, implement, and facilitate training and development programs for employees in classroom, virtual, distance learning, and eLearning formats.

· Serve as a subject matter resource for training and development procedures, learning management systems, learning content management systems, group dynamics, and learner engagement practices.

· Administer and configure learning management system activities, including course setup, enrollment, rosters, training calendars, completion tracking, learning records, and participation documentation.

· Build and maintain learning metrics, dashboards, reports, and KPIs to monitor participation, completion, effectiveness, adoption, and business impact across multiple disciplines.

· Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement training options, content, tools, and delivery methods that meet organizational needs and improve the learner experience.

· Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, IT, and other stakeholders to execute enterprise learning initiatives and support consistent training adoption.

· Create, update, and maintain training documentation, job aids, learning communications, and standard work to promote clarity and consistency.

· Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field required.

· 5+ years of experience working with learning management systems and developing dashboards, reports, and learning metrics.

· Hands-on experience using, administering, and configuring a learning management system.

· Experience building, tracking, and communicating learning and development metrics and KPIs across multiple disciplines.

· Strong written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder communication skills.

· Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred:

· Professional certification preferred, such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, CPTD, APTD, or similar learning and HR-related certification.

· Experience with UKG or similar platforms preferred.

· Healthcare, biotechnology, life sciences, or similarly regulated industry experience preferred.

· Experience with multimedia and content development platforms such as Articulate, Camtasia, or similar tools preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Remote work environment with regular use of video conferencing, collaboration tools, and learning platforms.

· Frequently required to sit, talk, hear, and use a computer and standard office equipment.

· Occasional travel may be required for business meetings, training delivery, or team events.

· Must be able to work effectively in a virtual environment while maintaining confidentiality and professional communication.
