Guild is hiring a Staff Product Manager - Data to lead the development of our long-term data strategy and drive key initiatives that enhance trust in our data for both internal teams and external partners. Our stakeholders depend on Guild’s data to inform critical decisions and power impactful outcomes.
As Staff Product Manager - Data, you will:
- Set Vision & Strategy: Define and drive the strategic vision for the Data Platform team and the broader organization. Increase data maturity across collection, storage, governance, and use, aligning data initiatives with company goals to maximize value and foster a data-driven culture.
- Influence & Drive Change: Communicate with clarity and impact to influence stakeholders across all levels. Build cross-functional coalitions, navigate complex organizational dynamics, and use storytelling to drive buy-in and organizational change.
- Lead Product Strategy: Develop and manage the product roadmap for complex or multiple data product areas. Align product vision with business goals, lead cross-functional discovery efforts, and ensure long-term strategic coherence across teams.
- Ensure Execution & Delivery: Oversee execution of complex initiatives, manage risk, and ensure timely delivery. Anticipate roadblocks, optimize team resources, and establish best practices for execution and delivery across product areas.
- Apply Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert across product and adjacent technologies. Use advanced data analysis for insights, inform technical trade-offs, and contribute to architectural decisions and innovation opportunities.
- Drive Strategic Communication: Use storytelling and nuanced messaging to align teams, surface hidden concerns, and overcome resistance. Guide others in developing effective communication strategies for high-stakes contexts.
- Coach & Develop Talent: Provide tailored coaching and actionable feedback. Support others in identifying growth areas, tracking development progress, and leveraging strengths for improvement.
You are a strong fit for this role if you have:
- 7+ years experience in a software product management or comparable role.
- Experience communicating with and influencing partners across a complex business, including various go-to-market teams and leaders. Comfortable influencing the V and C-level.
- MBA, enterprise consulting, or competitive market research experience strongly preferred.
- Experience developing strong data culture.
- Experience building Data Infrastructure for B2B or B2C products.
Preferred Competencies
- Validated ability to understand complex business problems and break them down into simple solutions across various areas that focus on customer needs.
- A track record of working collaboratively and effectively with engineering and non-technical partner teams to lead on-time delivery of technical solutions.
- Strong ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, and craft incremental, decoupled solutions.
- Clear, concise communication and presentation abilities.
- A track record of working with external partners and customers, including collecting direct product feedback from large corporations or other institutions.
- Strong partner communication skills, including working with Account Management or Partnerships to conduct systematic discovery on partner needs.
- Interest in UI/UX design principles and in-app analytics.
- Familiarity working with and developing data models.
- SQL proficiency.
We are committed to equal pay for equal work and believe in compensation transparency. All salary ranges are standardized nationwide and will not vary by region. This role offers a competitive total compensation package, including a base salary of $200,000 - $215,000, and stock options. Compensation offered will be based on a combination of factors such as experience, competencies, and internal equity.
