Job Description Summary
The Greater Oregon STEM Hub (GO STEM) is a regional cross-sector collaborative working to improve and guide integrated science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education in Eastern Oregon communities. GO STEM provides engaging learning experiences that promote and inspire educational and personal success among the educators and students it serves. It is one of thirteen STEM Hubs that serve the state of Oregon to provide STEM/STEAM and Career Connected Learning opportunities to PreK-20 students, community members, and across the education spectrum of the state. This collaborative, known as the Oregon STEM Hub Network, is funded by the Oregon Department of Education and various other funding entities and works closely with local, regional, and statewide partner organizations, educational entities, and industry to achieve the goals of the network.

The Statewide Oregon Math Project Manager, housed at the Greater Oregon STEM Hub, designs, manages, and implements a STEM Education and NGSS lens to conduct and lead collaboration across the programmatic efforts of the thirteen STEM Hubs of Oregon for the Oregon Math Project. They lead, design, and implement virtual and in-person professional development efforts for K-12 Oregon educators, create and promote outreach materials, and engage with key partners across the state, the STEM Hub Network, and the Oregon Department of Education.

This position will manage the virtual collaboration of the project, including facilitation of meetings/convenings, data collection, management, and project activities, and act as the point person for reporting to and working with the Oregon Department of Education staff related to the Oregon Math Project. They are skilled in a range of effective equity-based educational practices, curriculum development and delivery, professional development and delivery, other event and program delivery, and ensuring that their work aligns to the goals and outcomes of the Oregon Math Project. This position also provides expertise in Oregon and national K-12 math standards, practices, and integration for all program efforts.

This position exists to dismantle systemic inequities in math instruction with a focus on equitable teaching practices to ensure success for all students, especially students of color, emergent bilingual students, and students from families of low income, all of whom have been historically underserved in mathematics education.

This position is funded by the Oregon Department of Education through June 30, 2025, and continued funding is expected (but not guaranteed) to continue for the 2025-27 biennium with the potential for prolonged funding given program success.
Responsibilities  | Statewide Program Management Lead and facilitate monthly planning and informational meetings with the STEM Hub Network leadership. Manage shared digital spaces, including: Project and Hub specific file storage and management, Collect and manage participation data for reporting to the STEM Hub Network and Oregon Department of Education, including outputs and outcomes from project activities, Utilize Google Suite, spreadsheets, and survey software such as Qualtrics.  Create statewide impact reports for program storytelling to funders and partners. Provide expertise and guidance for continuing project funding with the Oregon Department of Education for the 2025-2027 biennium. Collaborate with Oregon Math Project staff at the Oregon Department of Education, leading project team meetings, information sharing, and project deliverables. Provide statewide leadership for grant deliverables and reporting, including coordinating statewide reports across the STEM Hub Network.

Professional Development and Outreach FacilitationWork with STEM Hub Network across the state to build, enrich, and deliver a broad range of K-12 Math professional development with key math specialists and organizers. Integrate Artificial Intelligence into project professional development, outreach, and materials for educator use. Present program details and content to various stakeholders, including K-12 educators and school staff, Hub and statewide leadership, Oregon Department of Education, and at conferences. Provide networking and collaboration across the project efforts, including across diverse entities and populations, emphasizing equity-minded approaches. Utilize Ambitions Training Practices in developing resources to center students’ engagement as math learners. Lead all project efforts with the lens of equity-focused math education and with the values and intention of the growth and success of the Oregon Math Project’s goals.
Outreach and Communication
Plan, design, and share marketing materials for programmatic efforts, events, and statewide awareness campaigns in print and digital formats as appropriate. Ensure open access of all published materials for statewide access and usability, including but not limited to Oregon Open Learning, OER Commons, and the program website. Work with project organizers to design, build, and update the Oregon Math Project website. Develop outreach materials for program professional development and outreach. Utilize digital design software, including Canva.
Service and Other Duties as Assigned
Participate in ongoing professional development related to emerging trends and best practices across STEM, NGSS, equity, integration, and accessibility domains, and issues impacting statewide and regional educational trends, especially K-12 math education. Perform other related duties and projects as assigned by STEM Hub Network and with guidance from the GO STEM Hub Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications 
Masters degree in Education, Program Management, or related field. Three (3) to Five (5) years of project management, event and program development, and partner collaboration. Statewide effort preferred. Three (3) to Five (5) years of knowledge and expertise related to survey instrument development, review, and data analysis. Qualtrics experience ideal. Three (3) to Five (5) years of K-12 math education background in traditional or non-traditional educational settings Three (3) to Five (5) years of building and delivering high-quality professional development, virtually and in-person Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience building, modifying, and delivering K-12 curriculum. Math preferred. Three (3) to Five (5) years of expertise with current math trends, standards, practices in Oregon and nationally, with an emphasis on equity-focused efforts. Three (3) to Five (5) years experience developing and managing grant-funded projects, managing grant outcomes and deliverables, and working with funding entities. ODE grant experience preferred.
Must satisfactorily complete EOU criminal and credential background check. Having a criminal history is not an automatic bar to employment. Preferred Qualifications  | K-12 Oregon Math certification, or related. Five (5) years of experience developing and conducting STEM professional development for educators. Digital and math experience preferred. Five (5) years of experience with educational survey design, synthesizing data, conducting analysis, and generating reporting for deliverables schedules. Five (5) years of experience presenting to a broad range of audiences, including K-12 educators and school staff, statewide leadership and partners, and at conferences. Multilingual in Spanish or other languages of worthy note.
