Physical Requirements

Job Summary  | The College of Nursing is seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to serve as Part-Time Exam Proctors. Proctors play a vital role in upholding academic integrity by ensuring a secure and consistent testing environment for nursing students during in-person or computer-based exams.
• Set up testing rooms in accordance with exam protocols (e.g., spacing, materials, technology).
• Verify student identification and check-in students for exams.
• Clearly communicate exam rules and instructions to students.
• Monitor students during exams to ensure compliance with testing policies.
• Address and report any irregularities, disruptions, or suspected academic dishonesty.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all exam materials.
• Collect and organize completed exams and return them according to protocol.
• Assist with accommodations for students with disabilities, as directed.
• Perform administrative tasks related to proctoring, as needed

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities  | •• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.

Prior experience in a testing, educational, or administrative setting is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a quiet, controlled environment.
• Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
• Basic computer proficiency; familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) or online proctoring software is a plus.
