Under general supervision, the Strategic Initiatives and Support Specialist provides support to the School of Education by coordinating student-focused initiatives, assisting with assessment and accreditation reporting, and delivering essential office support services. The position plays a key role in advancing the School’s mission by engaging with prospective candidates, supporting compliance and data processes, and ensuring efficient daily operations. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills, professionalism and approachability when working with parents, students, and adult learners, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work effectively on both Mac and PC platforms, manage internally networked computer systems, and show proficiency with computer data management systems including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat/Creative Suite. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities, while meeting deadlines and fulfilling commitments. Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service orientation are required, including the ability to communicate effectively with multiple people during high-volume periods. The ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external partners is essential. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Job Duty  | Strategic Initiatives: Assist with candidate engagement activities, including prospective student events, program information sessions, and pipeline activities with schools and districts. Serve as a point of contact for prospective candidates and families, providing accurate program information. Coordinate logistics for special initiatives, events, and projects that support the School’s recruitment and student success goals. Maintain communication records, prepare informational materials, and support School of Education social media to promote programs and initiatives.

Organize and track data used in state and federal reports, prepare basic statistical summaries, and ensure records are complete and up to date. Enter data into the HelioCampus assessment system and organize files and documentation related to CAEP, Title II, SPA, ADEPT, CHE, and institutional assessments. Assist the Assessment Coordinator with data entry, reporting, and management of accreditation files. Assist the Field Placement Coordinator with data collection and documentation related to internship placements, certification records, and partnership agreements; maintain files, update cooperating teacher contact records, and submit documentation required for certification credit. Support monthly administrative tasks associated with internship processes and help facilitate student information sessions throughout the semester.
