The opportunity

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is seeking a campus Athletics Social Media Assistant. This position will work with the Director of Athletics Communications and Senior Director, Communications on a number of social media activities that will promote campus athletics. 

Essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:

  • Create content (written, photographic and video) for use on a variety of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube).

  • Take photos and videos at campus athletics events.

  • Participate in weekly social media brainstorming sessions and provide a recent student's perspective on athletics content that will resonate with the campus community.

  • Assist in the creation of a Penmen Athletics TikTok account.

  • Help to educate/train other students in carrying out social media duties to build the Penmen Athletics accounts

  • Design flyers and social media graphics

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Full-time enrollment in an Undergraduate Day program

  • Preference will be given to candidates with undergraduate degrees in Marketing, Art & Design, and Liberal Arts who are pursuing a graduate degree in a Marketing related field. 

  • Video editing skills is a major plus as is photography

Work Hours: 
10 hours per week - days and times negotiable

This position will reside within the Office of External Affairs and Communications and will be located at the Athletics Complex on the University's main campus in Manchester.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is $12.00 - $15.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
