Position Description
Advertised Job Summary | The Graduate Operations Department at the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, is accepting nominations and applications for a full-time student experience manager. Reporting to the Associate Director, this role includes core responsibilities for the overall student experience. This includes detailed focus on the functioning of the academic and co-curricular on-boarding experience, working with faculty and staff within the school to resolve issues and improve processing times and service levels. This role has main management over the MBA programs and, as such, requires daily communication and management of over 380 working professional students. This role is central to increasing the stature and branding of the Moore School as it touches so many graduate-level students.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 4 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials | N/A
Preferred Qualifications | And/or related field such as business and human resources and related experience in client/customer support roles, project management roles, administrative roles.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | The employee must have excellent organizational/planning, communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to multitask. Knowledge or the policies and procedures affecting the program area. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff and the general public. Word processing skills, spreadsheet application skills, web-site skills, USC IMS knowledge.
Job Duties
Job Duty | Support students’ academic and personal goals by providing timely and appropriate general student services and experiences for an assigned population of graduate business students. Ensure timely degree completion and enhance their overall educational experience by coordinating activities that enhance their engagement. Conduct in-person and virtual appointments focused on helping students develop a personalized academic plans of study, monitor program progression, and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting course registration, academic performance, and student satisfaction. Support survey and reporting tasks for assigned events and projects, and present findings for data-driven decisions.

Percentage of Time | 25Job Duty | Assist with coordination of Orientation for assigned MBA and masters programs, and support a wide range of co-and extra-curricular programs and experiences, including MBA case competitions, workshops, seminars, networking events, domestic and global immersion experiences, special meetings, etc. and with graduation events. Responsible for general event planning support, scheduling of rooms, utilizing project management software and university scheduling systems.
