https://resources.uta.edu/hr/services/records/compensation-tools.phpJob Summary | The Student Financials Analyst will provide operational and analytical support by assisting managers in the day-to-day operational activities as well as providing analysis for data driven decision making. This role will be responsible for analyzing complex student financial data and will monitor, control and manage business operations to ensure alignment with the University’s strategic plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities | Manage departmental email inbox ensuring timely resolution to student inquiries, including interdepartmental research, account analysis, response and documentation. Coordinate with the Office of Information Technology and Business Analysts to design, schedule, evaluate, and monitor automated business processes impacting Student Financials operations. Responsible for processes related to non-payment of tution including communication and enrollment processing. Coordinate various special academic programs ensuring adherence to agreed upon program requirements. Program coordination may include student account maintenance, reconciliation, and payment processing. Serve as subject matter expert in escalations from the Communications Center on complex account inquiries related to Special Academic Programs. Review and process tuition waivers and exemptions in compliance with all relevant rules and regulations. May serve on the institutional Waiver Appeals Committee. Coordinate departmental communication to students and other university stakeholders. Draft and review communications across various mediums. Responsible for submitting and reviewing departmental website updates. Create and maintain statistical reporting for various Special Academic Programs. Coordinate data gathering for open records and audit requests. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications | Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field and three years of experience in finance, business, higher education, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications | Experience with PeopleSoft student system. Experience in Student Financials or Student Accounts. Experience in a University setting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong functional technical skills. Strong time management and communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Proficient in Excel.
