Join our team as a Student Recruitment & Marketing Assistant! In this role, you’ll help support marketing, communications, and outreach efforts to promote our programs and engage prospective students. Responsibilities include assisting with recruitment centered communications, social media content, event planning, campus visits, and developing creative materials to share the student experience. This is a great opportunity to build your skills in marketing and communication and hone your interpersonal skills all while making a positive impact on current and future students.
This student employee position will provide support in student recruitment and communication efforts for the College of Natural Science and Mathematics. The position will be responsible for providing support tasks geared towards prospective student engagement as well as acting as an ambassador of the college through social media and promoting the student experience.
To thrive in this role, a successful applicant should be outgoing and friendly, eager to learn, have some experience with social media management, graphic design and/or video editing/production (1 year preferably), have good computer skills, customer service skills, the ability to work independently with some supervision, good organization and basic Microsoft Office application knowledge (or Google Docs/Sheets).
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a current UAF undergraduate student and have education or experience in social media management, graphic design and/or video editing/production (equivalent to 1 year preferred).
Position Details:
This is a part-time student position, 10-20 hrs/week dependent on the needs of the college. It will have a flexible schedule to work around the successful candidates course schedule. This position is located on the Troth Yeddha’ campus in Fairbanks, AK and office space will be provided in the Reichardt Building. Pay will be between $14.96 and $18.00 depending on education/experience.
