Job Summary
The Student Success Coach / Admission Counselor I will provide academic and personal support throughout the entire student lifecycle. The SSC will work collaboratively in a fast-paced, open office environment with other success coaches and advisors. This position reports to the Vice President of Student Affairs.
Job Duties
:Facilitate advising sessions and provide comprehensive academic and transitional support for an assigned caseload of students to ensure they remain on track to achieve their goals. Advise students on academic programs and available pathways, as well as opportunities for transfer, and arrange meetings with representatives from four-year institutions. Track student progress and recommend opportunities for ongoing improvement.
Operate in a high-touch, service-oriented role focused on outreach, intervention, and promoting student success. Act as a student advocate by referring students to necessary support and engagement resources. Process applications and schedules for students, and identify those in need of outreach regarding resources, interventions, and support activities. Assist students in transitioning to the next phase of their education.
Engage in early alert systems and intervention strategies to proactively support at-risk students when needed. Develop and implement targeted communication and outreach plans using email, text, and social media.
Collaborate with the campus director and student affairs personnel on campus activities, student events, transfer events, and program tours designed for current and prospective students, as well as the community.
Provide advisement and visit the Bell County Forestry Camp alongside the PEP coordinator to ensure all students are enrolled and receive assistance equivalent to that of other advisees.
Attend community events and venues for recruitment purposes, such as festivals, career fairs, job fairs, and employment offices.
Complete any other duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree. And two years of experience.
