Student Support Coordinator Full Description

Catapult Learning is hiring a Student Support Coordinator to drive the special education process in Manhattan, NY schools for the 2026-2027 school year. This part-time, in-person position pays $65/hour.
Responsibilities:
  • Support students and families by navigating the IEP process from initial referral to service implementation
  • Partner with schools in the assigned region to guide strategic decisions and improve student outcomes
  • Provide quick, efficient support for students in the classroom
  • Collaborate with regional personnel, building principals, and teachers to support students
  • Assist administrators in using data, assessments, and analysis to identify students who need academic interventions or specialized services
  • Provide leadership, support, and assistance to classroom teachers for skillful instruction
  • Conduct model lessons, classroom observations, and provide "next step" support for teachers
  • Serve as a resource in identifying appropriate instructional strategies and interventions to improve student achievement
  • Maintain documentation of work with teachers using Catapult Learning's proprietary system
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in education or related field preferred
  • At least three years' experience as a Special Education teacher or similar position
  • Practical experience in leadership and teacher coaching
  • Excellent research, written, and oral communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, OneDrive, and Zoom
