Advertising/Posting Title  | Study CATS Student Success Coach

Posting Summary  | The Study Cats Student Success Coach provides instruction and support to students participating in the UVM Study CATS Program, a university-wide academic intervention program which provides support for first and second year students whose GPA is below a 2.3, and who will benefit from additional directed intervention. Teach the required course focused on growth mindset, executive function and academic skills, and increasing student utilization of targeted university resources. Communicate with eligible and enrolled students, their academic student services staff, the Registrar and other student support services staff across campus. Provide support for the Program Coordinator who manages administrative components of the Study CATS program, including curriculum development, course scheduling and enrollment, assessment and reporting. The Success Coach is supervised by the Director of the Center for Academic Success and helps create and carry out the Center’s mission, including a strong commitment to inclusive excellence and Universal Design for Learning.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)  | Bachelor’s degree AND at least one (1) year of experience in a higher education setting supporting student academic success; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved. Experience delivering educational workshops or instruction and providing direct student advising and/or academic support. Ability to work independently and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, demonstrate inclusive excellence skills, communicate effectively orally, in writing, and utilizing a range of online platforms and tools.
