The Platform Windows team currently supports 900+ Windows Servers for the Purdue University system. The systems that we support host everything from websites to business applications - there is abundant opportunity to learn and grow in this role.

What We’re Looking For

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field preferred
Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of experience and education
Entry-level professional we are asking for experience in the Windows server environment

Preferred:

Experience supporting a Microsoft Windows environment

Skills Required:

Fundamental knowledge of overall system management
An understanding of networking and distributed computing tools and techniques
Willingness to learn new tools and techniques to integrate new technology
Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
Self-motivation and ability to work independently with general supervision on daily tasks and projects
Independent problem-solving skills and an ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems

Ability to:

work productively as part of a team to complete larger projects
learn and use scripting languages and other tools to automate routine tasks
work an on-call rotation, typically one week every 5-7 weeks

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $54,324 to $57,720 annually commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience.
