Talent Partner Full Description

As a talent partner, you will select staff for designated departments as determined by the hiring manager.  You will complete background checks on all applicants and conduct reference checks as needed. Responsibilities include prescreening résumés, forwarding qualified candidates to the department, and arranging and participating in interviews. You will then evaluate candidates and collaborate with supervisors to make the best selection. Among other duties, you will extend formal offers of employment, initiate paperwork for new hires, and maintain applicant files for reference and retention. 

In this role, you will maintain the confidentiality of all human resources information throughout the entire recruiting and hiring process. You will collaborate with hiring supervisors to determine staffing needs and identify appropriate venues for advertising open positions. Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of contacts with organizations, agencies, and the community for recruitment purposes. Among other duties, you will participate in recruitment-related fairs, conferences, and events.  You will also write and edit advertisements as needed and complete other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:  
·      Bachelor's degree
·      At least two years of experience in human resources and higher education
·      Proven results in recruitment utilizing various social media platforms

Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
·      Valid driver's license

Travel required:
·      10–20%
Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
