About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our Tax team. This role will focus on U.S. Corporate Income Tax compliance and planning for Wiley and its subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with other tax professionals and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting, compliance, and strategic alignment with global tax initiatives.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review Federal and State corporate income tax returns and related filings.
  • Assist in the preparation of the U.S. tax provision and support global tax provision processes, including ASC 740, FIN 48, SOX, and FAS 123R compliance.
  • Support corporate federal income tax audits and lead state and local tax audits.
  • Conduct research and calculations related to tax credits and Section 174 expenditures.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s worldwide tax strategies.
  • Integrate tax compliance processes for acquired or divested entities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of tax provisions and filings.
  • Meet annual tax objectives and compliance milestones.
  • Leverage tax technology tools (e.g., OneSource) to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay current with evolving tax laws, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MST preferred.
  • 6+ years of relevant corporate tax experience, preferably in a large corporate or public accounting environment.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state corporate income tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience with tax provision software and ERP systems; OneSource experience is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Salary Range:85,500 USD to 122,567 USD
