As a Technical Training and Development Specialist at AWC, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our customers and team members’ understanding of the products and technology we offer. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, innovative, and resourceful individual, tasked with demonstrating and presenting technical knowledge that empowers our stakeholders for success. Ideally you will have a strong background in industrial automation technologies and the ability to deliver comprehensive training programs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and comprehensive understanding, fostering growth and excellence within our organization and among our valued technology partners. This position can be based out of the Greater Metro areas of Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL, or Jacksonville, FL.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Provide in-depth explanations within automation products such as PLCs, HMI, variable speed drives and related technologies
- Conduct engaging and diverse training sessions, workshops, and webinars in various settings, catering to a wide range of audiences, including customers, colleagues, and AWC technology partners
- Create and actively promote captivating and interactive training materials, including presentations and hands-on labs and practical exercises to enhance the learning experience
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and learning by actively adapting training content
- Develop post-training assessments to gauge learning outcomes and evaluate training effectiveness
- Continuously improve training content and delivery methods based on participant performance and industry updates
- Maintain training records, documentation and organize course material, ensuring all resources are available for training purposes
- Collaborate with sales team to analyze training needs and develop comprehensive training curricula
Skills you’ll need:
- Solid base level knowledge of PLCs, Programming software, Drives, Motion, HMI, Networking, SCADA, etc
- 2-Year Technical Degree (Engineering preferred) or 5 Years of hands-on technical experience
- Strong technical aptitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to varied audiences.
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite
Here’s what will set you apart:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience with simulation software and virtual training environments
- Project management skills for coordinating training initiatives
Additional Requirements:
- Required Travel: This position requires an average of 35% travel to customer sites, training events, and internal meetings
- Customer Technical Support: Assist customers with technical support via phone, email, and chat to resolve issues and provide guidance on automation products and technologies
