Job DescriptionDelivers computer software training in both group and individual settings, in person and online. Provides technical support to legal and non-legal staff through desk-side and remote assistance. Collaborates with the Learning Manager to develop, adapt and deliver learning initiatives for the Firm to improve productivity and efficiency. Provides regional training support as needed.
Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:
- Conducts all forms of training and individual instruction to legal and non-legal staff including live and virtual sessions.
- Maintains training materials and related databases.
- Educates users on modifications, updates and upgrades.
- Participates in IS meetings to stay informed about new and changing technology at the Firm to help create learning for end-users
- Collaborates with the Learning Manager to continuously evolve and adapt training initiatives to meet training needs.
- Partners with other teams and departments to determine and develop appropriate course content and materials.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of e-learning design concepts and effectively utilizes alternative training media and technologies as needed.
- Develops means for measuring the effectiveness of training and uses the feedback to enhance curriculum and classroom training.
- Develops and enhances training techniques, including coordinating with teammates to set higher standards for the team.
- Provides escalated support on issues originating from helpdesk.
- Works with users and other IS staff to resolve issues.
- Assists with orienting new IS staff, particularly training staff.
- Provides on-going customer support.
- Conducts software testing and evaluation.
- Any other responsibilities or special projects as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have experience developing and designing e-learning curriculum using a standard development tools like Camtasia, Captivate, etc.
- Experience in multiple mediums including classroom, webinars, and remote & desk-side training.
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Must have a solid working knowledge of the Firm standard applications or equivalents, including: Windows, mobile devices, iManage or equivalent DMS, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Best Authority, IntApp Time (Billable Time Tracking) and Workday (HRIS).
- Minimum of two (2) years software training experience.
- A healthy enthusiasm for learning, including the ability to master new software and systems in short timelines.
- Must be professional and flexible at all times.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required to relate to all learning levels.
Education/Certifications/Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED Required, College degree preferred.
- IT certifications a plus.
- 1-3 years in a professional services environment delivering technology training
Estimated salary range is $105,500 - $120,000. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
