Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Training and Development Manager to lead training initiatives with emphasis in technical product training. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs that equip, partners, customers and employees with the necessary technical knowledge and skills to effectively understand and utilize our products and solutions. This role will also focus on aligning training strategies with business goals to enhance product knowledge, customer satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive technical training programs for all SENS products.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and sales teams to identify training needs and develop curriculum content that aligns with product specifications and customer requirements.
- Design training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, webinars, and hands-on workshops, to effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Conduct training sessions for employees, distributors, and customers, ensuring a high level of product knowledge and technical competence.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, making data-driven adjustments to training programs as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer needs, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in energy storage systems to ensure training content remains relevant and impactful.
- Develop and manage training schedules, budgets, and resources to optimize program delivery and participant engagement.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Customer Support teams to identify areas of customer installation and use issues that can be integrated into training content.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Education, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in training and development, with a focus on technical product training in energy systems or a related industry.
- Strong technical background with working knowledge of batteries, battery backup systems, generators, and energy management systems.
- Excellent instructional design and facilitation skills, with experience creating engaging training materials for technical products.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable training content.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering training to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning tools, and other digital training platforms.
- Certification in instructional design, training, or a related field (e.g., CPLP, CPTD).
Closing Date: June 30th, 2025. While we anticipate keeping this position open through this date, the posting may be extended or closed earlier depending on applicant volume and hiring needs.
Base Compensation: The expected base compensation range is $89,600 to $138,900. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses and benefits.
Location: This role is located in our Longmont, CO office and may be eligible for hybrid work over time.
