Training Coordinator - 1st Shift

The Training Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for manufacturing training and workforce development initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring employees receive timely, accurate, and compliant training to safely perform their jobs in a regulated manufacturing environment. Working closely with Production Supervisors, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Human Resources, Organizational Development, and Quality, the Training Coordinator coordinates onboarding, maintains training records and curricula, supports Training Within Industry (TWI) programs, and helps ensure employees remain qualified to perform their assigned responsibilities in accordance with company procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Coordinate and facilitate first-week onboarding activities for manufacturing employees, ensuring completion of required orientation, safety, quality, and compliance training.
  • Guide new employees through job-specific training expectations, job breakdowns, and learning pathways to support a successful transition into production.
  • Administer and maintain training records within LEAP, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of employee training completion and qualifications.
  • Partner with Production Supervisors to schedule training while minimizing disruption to manufacturing operations and production schedules.
  • Update and maintain training session rosters, attendance records, and employee qualification status.
  • Maintain a centralized calendar of manufacturing training events, classrooms, equipment, and training resources.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to review, update, and maintain Training Within Industry (TWI) Job Breakdown Sheets and standardized work documentation.
  • Coordinate curriculum updates with Organizational Development to ensure LEAP reflects current training requirements, work instructions, and organizational changes.
  • Support compliance with quality systems, safety requirements, ISO standards, GMP requirements (as applicable), and company policies by ensuring required training is completed and documented.
  • Respond to employee and supervisor questions regarding TWI processes, training requirements, observations, and qualification status.
  • Generate training reports and metrics to support audits, regulatory inspections, management reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, and procedures by coordinating associated employee training.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee training records and ensure training documentation is audit-ready.

Basic Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative, training coordination, manufacturing, or human resources experience.
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing, production, or regulated environment preferred.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training management software preferred.
