Description of Work
The Training Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the University of Nebraska- Lincoln’s “One Stop” shop meets its administrative capability requirements, in addition, all federal, state Title IV regulations as well as institutional regulations governing scholarships and financial aid, student accounts, university registrar, and bursar services. This position will have primary responsibility for the creation, coordination, and delivery of scholarships and financial aid, student accounts, university registrar, and bursar training programs and materials (such as policies and procedures that will affect the unit’s phone, email, and in-person communications) to the “One Stop” staff. The training program will include cross training services from the offices of bursar, scholarships and financial aid, student accounts and university registrar. This includes coordinating training from operational staff persons in the “home” offices of bursar, scholarships and financial aid, student accounts and university registrar.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of related experience required.
  • Experience presenting in front of various sized groups.
  • Must have excellent written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Strong demonstrated proficiency utilizing Outlook and Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting. An understanding of process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior event coordination experience.
  • Experience with higher education preferred.
  • Knowledge of Title IV federal regulations and related resources helpful.
  • Prior experience in a university setting.
  • Familiarity with UNL institutional policies and procedures related to the offices of bursar, scholarships and financial aid, student accounts and university registrar .
  • Prefer familiarity with FERPA regulations.
  • Knowledge of academic progression for students (Admit, Enroll, Aid, Billing, etc.).
