Description

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to apply principles of adult learning to development of training for complex operational skill learning
  • Uses training expertise and ISD methodology to oversee design, development, pilot testing, and implementation of all training course components, ensuring application of leading-edge practices, quality of curriculum products, and integration across all curriculum modules and components
  • Translates curricula into course content inclusive of applied drills, assessments, participant materials, and training guides Coordinates with Expert and Mid-level Contributors and SMEs to manage intervening factors (e.g., cognitive load) and develops evaluation tools and activities to ensure valid outcomes 
  • Coordinates with client to gather inputs, comments, pilot testing products, and revisions as needed
  • Ensures solutions conform to client training platform parameters
  • Ensures training solutions match customer requirements in terms of functionality, usability, efficiency, reliability, availability, and scalability

Minimum Requirements:
  • 12+ years of relevant experience in technical skill training design and curriculum development (instruction and OJT) required
  • 5+ years working in and/or teaching in an operational environment with specific technical skill requirements
  • ISD certification desirable but not required
  • Experience with training trainers to present the instruction
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of FAA training regulations and policy.

Educational Requirement: B.A./B.S. in psychology, education, or related field required, M.A. preferred
