Training & Development Specialist

Peak Performers is hiring for an eLearning and Multimedia Development Specialist to join a Texas state agency! This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge eLearning solutions within a dynamic and collaborative environment within a Texas state agency.
 
The Team You Will Be Joining
The state of Texas government agency that oversees the protection of children, adults, and families through prevention, intervention, and support services to ensure their safety and well-being.
 
Major Duties
  • Collaborate with the lead of the eLearning and Multimedia Development (EMD) team to execute projects and assignments.
  • Take ownership of projects from conception to completion, following guidance from the team lead or division manager.
  • Develop training deliverables for IT system projects, state agency technology releases, and cross-program training courses.
  • Create project plans, content documents, design documents, and training materials.
  • Disseminate training materials through online platforms like the DFPS Learning Station (MOODLE LMS), intranet, and internet, ensuring adherence to accessibility standards.
  • Conduct training sessions on IT systems and state technology, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards and eLearning best practices.
  • Utilize specialized software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, Articulate 360, Adobe Premiere, SoftChalk, and MOODLE activities.
  • Proficiently use enterprise applications like MS Office to support project development and execution.
 
What We’re Looking For
  • Proficient in Articulate 360 and Articulate Storyline for 3+ years, specializing in eLearning development. 
  • Experienced in video editing with Premiere Pro or similar tools for 3+ years, focusing on educational content creation. 
  • Skilled in designing engaging eLearning products and storyboards for 3+ years. 
  • Experienced in crafting tailored educational scripts and providing voice-over work for 3+ years. 
  • Ensures accessibility standards in deliverables for 3+ years. 
  • Proficient in training procedures, learning management systems, instructional design, and communication. 
  • Capable of facilitating workshops effectively and understanding group dynamics.
 
Exciting Opportunity Details
  • Rate: $67.00 per hour.
  • Length of Engagement: Through 8/31/25
  • Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
  • Location: Austin, TX. (78701). Remote with need to go onsite as needed for some parts of the role.
