Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Training Manager to join our team in our Poway facility.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage all phases of ASI Professional Development programs from conceptualization through completion, including planning, developing and delivering programmatic activities to ensure quality and business objectives are attained.
  • Identify program requirements/needs based on program purpose and goals, audience, stakeholder needs, and other factors, and coordinate the development of appropriate curriculum, training processes, delivery methods, and protocols to meet business needs.
  • Develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training and Professional Development activities.
  • Manage the preparation of training and Professional Development programs, develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials, develop testing and evaluation procedures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and with management to develop and implement current, annual, and long-term professional development objectives.
  • Monitor training programs to ensure functional training objectives are met within cost and performance standards.
  • Management of personnel resources by motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
  • Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for adult learners.
  • Identify program issues and provide leadership in developing creative solutions such as re-allocation of resources or revising programs to maintain relevancy and meet current needs.
  • Act as the primary contact for ASI Professional Development programs with both internal and external representatives.
  • Ensuring organizational leadership and excellence is maintained by managing and participating in the planning, attraction, selection, retention, and development of the required professional talent.
  • Thinking critically to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Requires knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for adult learners, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Requires knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources.

Job Qualifications
  • Typically requires educational training equivalent to a bachelor's degree as well as eleven or more years of professional experience designing, developing, and delivering technical training with at least five of those years in management.
  • Previous experience with MS Office Suite, including MS Visio.
  • Expert level of proficiency in MS PowerPoint
  • Must have previous experience with Enterprise software: Learning Management System.
  • Previous experience with instructional design for in person delivery is required.
  • Previous Training Development/Management experience is required.
  • Any of the following: MS PowerPoint, MS Teams and Live Events, SharePoint are preferred.
