Serve Robotics is seeking an experienced Training Manager to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of operations training programs for our team that executes last mile robot delivery operations in major US markets. This role is pivotal in ensuring our frontline operators, field technicians, and support staff are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality service with our robotic delivery fleet.

As Training Manager, you will collaborate closely with Operations, Safety, Engineering, and People teams to standardize processes, maintain compliance, and build a scalable training framework that supports company growth. We’re looking for a proven leader with strong operational instincts, a bias for action, and the ability to inspire and develop a front-line team while making data-informed decisions in a high-growth, fast-moving environment. This leader will be pivotal in building and executing a training program that allows for fast onboarding and scaling for a fast growing publicly traded start up.

Responsibilities
Program Development & Delivery
  • Design, implement, and manage training programs focused on operational excellence, safety, and compliance for all levels of operations staff.
  • Develop onboarding curricula for new hires, as well as refresher and upskilling programs for existing employees.
  • Incorporate hands-on, classroom, and digital learning methods to meet diverse training needs.

Process Standardization & Documentation
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training manuals for operational workflows.
  • Ensure training aligns with evolving robotics technology, delivery protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure required safety training is implemented and tracked to align with region specific safety training requirements.

Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor and assess training effectiveness through performance metrics, feedback, and field audits.
  • Introduce data-driven improvements to enhance employee readiness, productivity, and safety outcomes.
  • Partner with leadership to identify skills gaps and develop targeted training solutions.

Collaboration & Leadership
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Operations, Engineering, and HR for all training-related initiatives.
  • Train and mentor field trainers, supervisors, and managers to reinforce a culture of learning and operational excellence.
  • Champion a safety-first mindset across the organization and put in place systems to measure effectiveness of safety culture.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in training, operations, or learning & development, ideally in logistics, robotics, or technology-driven industries.
  • Proven experience and understanding of OSHA general industry standards (29CFR1910)
  • Strong track record of designing and delivering classroom-based and virtual training programs.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical learning experiences.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and training evaluation methods.
  • Comfort with operational tools and dashboards; familiarity with BI platforms, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools
  • Experience in safety training, compliance, or regulated industries.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and scale systems and processes in a fast-evolving operation
  • Strong analytical skills; proficient in Google Sheets, Jira, and ThoughtSpot (or equivalent BI tools)
