Description of Work
The Training Operations Coordinator provides institute logistics, venue management, registration, and on-site event execution for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s federal Training Program for Federal TRIO Programs.

In this role you will:
  • Annually plan and execute two in-person hybrid institutes and one virtual institute.
  • Manage the online registration platform.
  • Manage event budget, contracts, and invoices.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for training faculty and project staff.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years of experience coordinating institutes, conferences, or programs, including venue negotiation, vendor management, and on-site event execution, similar experience will be considered.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to institute sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Public Administration, Event/Program Management, or a related field.
  • Prior TRIO or pre-college program experience.
  • Familiarity with event-registration and hybrid-streaming platforms (e.g., Whova).
  • Experience managing federally funded event or conference budgets
