Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a community-minded, forward-thinking behavioral health organization helping people along the road to health and well-being. We meet people in their homes and communities and help connect them to their needed resources. We serve Southeastern and Central Ohio with a comprehensive array of behavioral health and other services – working with local partners to promote healthy people and strong communities. Our services are intended to be collaborative and personalized for the individual.
The Training Specialist is responsible for supporting training for ISBH, including orientation. This position involves coordinating and delivering informative and engaging content that aligns with the company’s values, culture, and operational procedures. The role demands exceptional communication skills, a deep understanding of the company's workflows, and a passion for ISBH’s mission, vision, and values.
The pay range for this position is $21.40 - $25.05 per hour based on experience, education, and/or licensure.
Essential Functions:
- Facilitate orientation sessions for new hires
- Create and distribute orientation session communication, materials, and resources including facility reservation, setup, and catering
- Assist employees in understanding organizational systems, policies, and procedures
- Process related orientation documentation, including I-9 verifications
- Monitor and evaluate orientation session effectiveness
- Conduct follow-up sessions to address questions and concerns
- Maintain records of orientation activities and participant feedback
- Distribute training feedback surveys, gather and collect data for analysis
- Collaborate with HR or subject matter experts to update training content
- Assist in LMS system maintenance records and reports
- Process internal training requests as needed
- Design and develop appropriate and effective instructional materials and content in collaboration with learning partners as needed
- Attend events both to represent ISBH as well as for networking opportunities and partnership building
- Some travel is required in our service area for training sessions
- Other duties as required
Minimum qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience delivering training in a relevant field, ideally within a digital environment.
- Experience in training content development.
- Experience with LMS maintenance
- Understanding effective teaching methodologies and tools.
- Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in learning and development.
- Proficient in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint); e-learning software is an asset.
- Phenomenal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Organizational and time management abilities.
- Critical thinking and decision making.
- Ability to travel to ISBH locations, for in-person training, bi-weekly orientation sessions.
- Demonstrated high degree of cultural awareness.
- Ability to use appropriate databases, spreadsheets, and other software.
- Able to effectively communicate through verbal/written expression.
- Must be able to operate in an Internet-based, automated office environment.
- State of Ohio Driver’s License
Education:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education, Human Resources, or related discipline with appropriate experience, required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
