What to Expect
Tesla’s Gulf Coast Lithium Refinery team is seeking a highly motivated individual to join as Training Specialist for a groundbreaking battery chemical plant under construction near Corpus Christi, TX. This role involves collaborating with EHS, Process Design, Operations, and Maintenance teams to design and implement a comprehensive training curriculum that aligns with operational objectives. The position plays a critical role in enabling operational excellence and fostering a high performance culture through effective training delivery.

What You’ll Do
  • Work with Process Design and Operational teams to gain deep understanding of process technology, HSE considerations, operational design, and equipment functionality
  • Develop a robust training curriculum, platform and delivery program that efficiently equips the operational team with the skills, knowledge and capability to achieve Refinery objectives
  • Employ multi-media engagement strategies to maximize learner comprehension and training efficiency
  • Support the creation and review of standard operating procedures and process reference materials
  • Deliver both classroom and field training sessions as needed
  • Coach and facilitate on-the-job training
  • Build a sustainable system for assigning and tracking role-specific training using existing learner management platforms

What You’ll Bring
  • 7+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing environment with strong operations and production expertise
  • Technical proficiency in chemical plant unit operations
  • Experience with solids handling, rotary calcination, and hydro-metallurgical equipment is advantageous
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal as well as presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of life-critical policies in chemical manufacturing settings
