Republic Finance is seeking a Training Specialist I to join our growing team. This entry-level position is responsible for supporting the administration of the company’s Learning Management System (LMS), as well as assisting in the coordination, development, and delivery of training materials and sessions aligned with organizational initiatives, projects, and policy or procedural updates. The ideal candidate demonstrates a proactive approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. This role is crafted to provide support to senior training personnel. This position is based in the Baton Rouge, LA office and follows a hybrid work schedule. Job responsibilities are as follows:
- Assists in the coordination of training schedules, logistics, and timelines.
- Collaborate with subject matter authorities, project teams, and operational partners to support the development of accurate and effective training content.
- Aid in the planning and facilitation of both virtual and in-person training sessions.
- Contribute to the creation of instructional materials, including how-to videos, quick reference guides, checklists, training communications, and announcements.
- Use tools such as Canva, Articulate, and Camtasia to design visually engaging and informational training content.
- Participate in the delivery of training activities, including webinars, recorded demonstrations, regional calls, workshops, and Q&A sessions.
- Support the administration of the company’s LMS by uploading content, managing user access, assigning training, and generating reports.
- Respond to and troubleshoot learner inquiries and support tickets related to LMS functionality, escalating issues as necessary.
- Develop learner-facing resources, such as how-to videos and navigation guides, to improve the user experience within the LMS.
- Apply acquired knowledge and training concepts to support evolving business needs.
- Attend and contribute to meetings, projects, and team initiatives as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in training, adult learning, or a related field is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various levels of the organization.
- Showed strength in writing, editing, and instructional content development.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and content creation tools such as Canva, Articulate, and Camtasia.
- Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, which is essential for success in this role.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities with appropriate mentorship and supervision.
- A proactive mentality with the capacity to apply concepts and follow through on assignments.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems is advantageous; familiarity with Cornerstone LMS is highly desirable.
