Position Overview
As a Training Specialist II, you will be a key contributor in shaping a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organization. In this role, you will assess training needs at all levels, design engaging and effective learning programs, and deliver training that enhances employee performance while reinforcing our company’s core values.

You’ll have the opportunity to blend creativity with strategy—developing and organizing training content using a mix of new resources, existing materials, and industry best practices. This position offers meaningful collaboration with leaders and employees across departments through curriculum development, course facilitation, and enrollment coordination.

Essential Job Functions
  • Partners with leaders and employees to identify skill gaps and training needs related to evolving business initiatives, technology changes, and operational challenges
  • Conducts comprehensive training needs analyses to inform the design of effective, targeted learning solutions
  • Designs and develops engaging training content using industry research, internal knowledge, and evaluation of external vendors and resources
  • Delivers impactful training programs for employees at all levels, utilizing a variety of methods including in-person instruction, virtual facilitation, and digital learning tools
  • Leads the development of the company's learning and development strategy and create metrics and reports to assess training effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals
  • Coordinates the company’s insurance education program, including course planning, enrollment management, and communication with employees and vendors, to support professional development and industry certification goals
  • Develops post-training support materials to reinforce learning and enable ongoing skill application on the job
  • Prepares training environments (physical and virtual), ensuring facilitators have all required materials, equipment, and support for a seamless experience
  • Manages logistical and administrative aspects of training delivery, including scheduling, enrollment, communication, and location coordination
  • Aligns training schedules with business needs, and maintains accurate training records and reporting within the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Tracks and manages training budgets, providing leadership with detailed reporting and analysis of training-related expenditures
  • Stays current on trends and best practices in learning and development through continuous learning, professional reading, and participation in industry organizations
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
  •  Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources field or equivalent experience
  • Typically requires 5+ years of experience in related field
  •  Prior experience in the learning and development field

Certifications & Licenses
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) designation preferred

Salary Range:  
  • $74,000 – $92,000 per year 
    • This range is based on the expected level of experience and skills for this position. Final compensation will depend on individual qualifications.
