Position Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Training Specialist III to support the development and continuous improvement of our Claims Department. This role is responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining effective training programs that enhance the knowledge, quality, and productivity of claims staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the claims lifecycle and collaborate closely with department leaders, subject matter experts, and quality assurance teams to identify training needs and implement solutions aligned with company goals.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Possess working knowledge of the claims process and end to end lifecycle.
- Provides an effective training program to develop and grow the depth of knowledge, quality, and production level of the claims department by developing and delivering claims training programs for continuously improving the Claims Department performance to meet defined goals.
- Collaborate with Claims Department leaders to develop training associated with initiatives tied to both department and company goals and objectives.
- Works with various groups, including SME’s, Quality Assurance, and Management to identify areas for improving, growing, and sustaining knowledge and performance.
- Assists with orientation, and integration of new Claims Department employees.
- Organizes, plans, and delivers trainings to new and existing claims staff.
- Maintain records of training activities, employee progress, and can communicate effectively with necessary parties on employee progress.
- Works with QA to perform analysis on trending errors and other issue to inform training needs.
- Develops and maintains training materials, presentations, and handouts, and manages an annual review of all Processes and Procedures to ensure they remain up to date and consistent with claims best practices and industry standards.
- Works with teams to ensure claims handling is conducted in compliance with applicable statues, regulations, and other legal requirements, and that all applicable company procedures and policies are followed.
- Participate in performance management/improvement as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent job-related experience
- 6+ years of related experience (LTCI experience preferred)
- Strong end to end claims knowledge.
- Possesses good written and verbal communication skills.
