Product UX Research
BARBRI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced UX Researcher. As a UX Researcher at BARBRI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our products and services by understanding the needs and behaviors of our users. In this newly established position, you will be responsible for initiating and conducting user research activities, translating insights into actionable recommendations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the overall user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. User Research Planning:
    1. Work with the VP of CX to develop a user research strategy aligned with the organization's goals and product roadmap.
    2. Define research objectives, create research plans, and establish KPI’s for measuring success.
  2. User Recruitment and Sourcing:
    1. Working with product and segment leads, Identify and recruit participants for usability studies, interviews, surveys, and other research methods.
    2. Create a user participant database and do frequent reviews to ensure with are testing with a diverse and representative sample.
  3. Perform User Research:
    1. Conduct various user research activities such as user interviews, surveys, user testing, and card sorting, etc.
    2. Determine the correct user research activities, balancing qualitative and quantitative methods to ensure that we have a complete understanding of the users of our products.
  4. Data Analysis:
    1. Analyze research data to identify meaningful patterns, trends, and user insights.
    2. Communicate with cross-functional teams to share findings and inform design and development decisions.
  5. Persona Development:
    1. Create and refine user personas to represent different user segments and their distinct needs, behaviors, and preferences.
  6. Usability Testing:
    1. Conduct user testing to ensure we are building the right thing and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  7. Collaboration:
    1. Work closely with UX designers, marketing team, engineering, and other stakeholders to integrate user-centered design principles into the product development process.
    2. Work with VP of CX to design and conduct workshops and design sprints to encourage collaborative problem-solving.
  8. Communication and Documentation:
    1. Clearly communicate research findings through reports, presentations, personas, and other deliverables.
    2. Maintain a research repository of insights and data for future reference.
  9. Continual Learning
    1. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX research.
    2. Advocate for a user-centric mindset within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of proven experience in conducting user research, including usability testing, interviews, and surveys.
  • Familiarity with various research methodologies and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
