Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and at least 12 years of job related experience, including some prior management experience. Typically reports to a VP.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials
Preferred Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Student Personnel Services or related field and at least ten (10) years of progressive experience in enrollment management is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of best practices in recruiting students and shaping an incoming class required. Must have demonstrated knowledge working of higher education enrollment management and a record of success in meeting enrollment goals. Knowledge of national enrollment and market trends, awareness of cutting edge strategies, and mastery of demographic information are a must. Must be able to assess current financial aid models, strategies and practices, and work closely with the student financial aid staff and consultants in optimizing state, federal and institutional resources to achieve enrollment goals. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills along with a strong professional network; strong customer-service orientation; and a commitment to working effectively with other administrators, staff, and faculty in communicating the mission of USCB. Must be creative, energetic, enthusiastic self-starter committed to transparent, transformational leadership. Must be knowledgeable of the issues and trends in U.S. higher education and have a demonstrated ability to develop relationships with a diverse group of constituents. Proficiency with customer relationship management (CRM) and student information systems is expected, as is demonstrated skills in using communication technologies to recruit and enroll students. Exceptional planning, budgeting and organizational skills are essential for this position, as is the ability to analyze data and review options to determine best strategy.
