Position Summary
Sketchy is entering its next chapter as an AI-first organization redefining how medical education is delivered and experienced. As Vice President, Marketing, you’ll lead a unified team across brand, product marketing, performance, and community. 

The Vice President, Marketing will drive full-funnel marketing that delivers both measurable growth and memorable experiences, grounded in data, creativity, and a deep empathy for our learners.

We're looking for a player-coach: Someone who balances strategic vision with hands-on execution. Someone who leads with clarity, builds deep cross-functional trust, and sets the bar high. You’ll work side-by-side with our CEO and collaborate deeply with Sales, Product, and Content to shape the voice, impact, and future of the Sketchy brand across individuals, institutions, and global audiences.

Sketchy is hiring remote employees in these select US states: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, and Washington!

Responsibilities
  • Team leadership across key marketing domains: Brand, Product Marketing, Social Community.
  • Performance accountability for key funnel metrics: traffic, awareness, MQLs, email engagement, lifecycle marketing, and learner advocacy.
  • Messaging and positioning for a broad range of markets: MCAT, UME, PA, NP, and emerging GME and CME audiences.
  • Marketing budget ownership, including planning, forecasting, and allocation decisions with a focus on ROI and experimentation.
  • Institutional GTM alignment: Collaborate tightly with sales to generate pipeline through marketing, test campaigns, and improve velocity.
  • Cross-functional storytelling: Work with product and content leads to translating innovation into compelling narratives across learner and educator surfaces.
  • Market expansion strategy: Design, test, and iterate campaigns that help Sketchy break into new professional verticals.

What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years in integrated marketing roles across consumer and/or enterprise; you've led full-stack teams across brand, performance, and product marketing.
  • Proven success in both storytelling and scale, you know how to build a brand and a funnel.
  • Strong experience marketing in vertical, high-trust categories like edtech, healthtech, or SaaS.
    Comfortable with CRM platforms, performance data, lifecycle automation, and content strategy.
  • You understand the nuance of influencing a sales motion without owning it,you know how marketing creates pull, not just push.
  • You bring a hands-on leadership style, no ego, all in.
  • You lead with accountability and bias to action, you see what needs doing and you own it.
  • You embrace a “small team, big responsibility” ethos, getting close to the work and your team while holding the bigger picture.
  • You thrive in a lean executive structure, balancing strategic inputs with executional ownership.

Salary Range
$250,000-$275,000 plus bonus and equity
