About Opportunity
The Vice President of Enablement will lead a cross-functional Center of Excellence tasked with driving enablement globally, all groups, at Ellucian. They will be responsible for all areas of enablement across the company, including sales, services, customers success and partner enablement, leading both the strategy and execution of those programs, with the goal of driving productivity and efficiency across the organization. They will also be responsible for establishing metrics to measure the success and impact of those enablement initiatives. The Vice President will also play a critical role in prioritizing our enablement focus, with the goal of aligning it with the company’s overall corporate strategy, as well as customizing enablement to fit the needs of all the international regions that are critical to Ellucian’s business

This role is crucial for ensuring that our teams are equipped with the necessary tools, training, and resources to achieve their goals, and critical to driving sales performance and accelerating the modernization of our customers to SaaS. The Vice President of Enablement will report to the Chief Strategy and Corporate Development Officer.

Where you will make an impact 
  • Develop and Implement Enablement Strategy: Craft and execute a comprehensive enablement strategy that aligns with Ellucian's objectives and drives performance improvement.
  • Training Programs: Design, develop, and deliver training programs for sales, customer success, and other key departments to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Scaling through Technology: Utilize Artificial Intelligence and other learning technologies to efficiently scale and increase the effectiveness of the company’s enablement efforts.
  • Resource Management: Ensure that teams have access to the necessary resources, including tools, documentation, and support, to effectively perform their duties.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish track performance metrics to measure the success of enablement initiatives and identify areas for further improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with leaders in sales, services, customer success and partner leaders to understand their needs and challenges and provide tailored enablement solutions.
  • Content Creation: Develop high-quality content, such as training materials, webinars, and guides, to support enablement programs.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly assess the effectiveness of enablement programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure ongoing improvement.
  • Strategic Alignment: Make sure enablement programs are aligned with company-wide strategic priorities.
  • Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of enablement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

What you will bring
  • Independent, self-starter who is resourceful and assertive. Business ownership, outcomes-oriented mentality
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in enablement, training, or a related field, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience using AI to drive and improve enablement, as well as experience implementing and utilizing learning platforms.
  • Experience working higher education preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally while building productive relationships with core stakeholders and team members.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to adapt style based on audience.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to ruthlessly prioritize.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
